Grand Canyon
Stand on the edge of the most famous canyon on earth.
The ultimate traveling summer camp for yeshiva bochurim. Canyons, national parks, waterfalls, lakes and a much needed Bein Hazmanim reset.
The Experience
Merchav West is a traveling camp built for bochurim who want to actually experience the American West, not just drive past it. Every day is packed: hikes, water, sand, off-road country and big nights, with barely a wasted minute.
From our home base of secluded forest cabins we hit the road, staying at hotels on the route with a few nights of camping under the stars mixed in along the way.
The Route

Stand on the edge of the most famous canyon on earth.

Towering red walls and trails that earn the view.

Lush mountain trails, cool spray and rushing water.

A sea of orange hoodoos you have to see to believe.

Stone arches, endless mesas, huge skies.

Experience the unique floating sensation in the Great Salt Lake.

Cliff-edge views and a day on the water.

Off-road country. Slickrock, red dirt, big thrills.

Sandboarding down pink-orange dunes.

Hidden canyons, creeks and colors.

Headlamps on. Underground adventure.

A start and finale with the lights of the Strip.
Tentative highlights. Subject to change with weather, timing and other factors.
No compromises
Every day starts the right way, with Shacharis, a morning seder and breakfast before we hit the road. Minyanim and learning are built into the route, and Shabbos is the high point of the week. An epic opportunity for growth-oriented bochurim to refresh, recharge and get invigorated for the new Zman.
Shacharis with a minyan and a morning seder, every single day, wherever the trip takes us.
Davening with a minyan built into the schedule, from canyon overlooks to starry campsites.
Davening, learning, seudos, and an epic ruach create an unforgettable Shabbos.
